Getting Started with Pincone

Save your first link, organize it into a folder, and make yourself at home — a five-minute tour of Pincone.

Welcome! Pincone is a place to collect, save, and organize the things you find on the web — links, articles, RSS feeds, and newsletters. Here's how to make yourself at home in about five minutes.

Save your first link

See the round yellow + button floating in the bottom-right corner? That's it. Click it, paste the URL, and Pincone fetches the page's title, description, and image for you. Tweak anything you like, pick a folder, and save. (On your phone, it's the Add button in the bottom bar.)

Saving gets even quicker with the browser extension — one click on any page you're reading.

Give things a home

Links live in folders. Create as many as you like — Design Inspiration, Recipes, Read Later — whatever fits the way you think. Your folders are always one click away in the sidebar's Library section. More in Organizing with Folders.

Follow the things you read

Beyond links you save yourself, Pincone can bring content to you:

By yourself, and with others

Out of the box you get your own personal Pincone — a place just for you. You can also create teams from the sidebar's team switcher and share folders, feeds, and finds with friends, family, or coworkers — everyone can comment on anything that gets shared. More in Working with Teams.

Where everything comes together

The Timeline shows everything saved across your Pincone, newest first. And whenever you're looking for something specific, press Cmd+K (or Ctrl+K) to search — more on that in Finding Anything with Search.

Your guide is waiting

You don't have to remember any of this. New accounts come with a getting-started checklist — a little card near the bottom of the screen (on your phone, it's the Guide tab in the bottom bar) listing the essentials: save a link, make a folder, follow a feed, set up an inbox, install the extension, connect an assistant, and — entirely optionally — start a team. The steps check themselves off as you do the real thing, and when the last one's done, the card throws you a small celebration and retires forever. If it's ever in your way, click its header and it shrinks to a slim pill.

That's the tour. Go save something!
