Saving with the Extension

Day-to-day saving with the Pincone browser extension — folders, labels, and habits that make it effortless.

Once the extension is installed, saving becomes a reflex: see something good, click the pin, carry on reading. Here's how to get the most out of that click.

The anatomy of a save

Click the Pincone icon on any page and the extension fills in the details — title, description, image — from the page itself. Before saving you can:

  • Pick a folder — including creating a new one right from the popup, no trip to Pincone required.
  • Add labels — type to reuse existing labels or mint new ones on the spot.

Then save, and the page lands in your library without you leaving the tab. If you're in more than one team, you choose where it goes — your personal Pincone or a shared one.

Habits worth stealing

  • Pin the extension to your toolbar. Two seconds of setup, and saving becomes one click instead of three.
  • Don't over-file in the moment. A quick save with one label beats agonizing over the perfect folder while your coffee gets cold. You can always tidy up later in Pincone — that's what labels are for.
  • Save first, read later. The whole point: your library is where good pages wait patiently, instead of dying in a graveyard of open tabs.

When the details come in wrong

Some pages guard their metadata jealously — you might get a bare title or no image. Everything's editable after the fact: open the item in Pincone and fix it up.
